  5. I've been trying to work out stability issues in my frag tank and wanted to see what others were doing. In my 120 I had good results keeping my alk in the 10.5-11.0 dKH range long term and getting great growth on SPS and most LPS. What has been your dKH sweet spot for those of you who grow SPS & LPS? @stoned & @kirk_m, I want to hear from you guys too. I don't plan to run ULNS, so I don't care to keep my ALK in the 7.5 - 8.0 dKH range. To easy to dip dangerously out of range if out of town and a probe or doser fails.

    CoralVue KH Guardian Pro

I remembered seeing a video from MACNA last year where this guy was showing off his invention. It measured your tank alkalinity on a schedule and based off what you set your desired dKH levels at, it would dose the appropriate amount of product to your tank to maintain stability. I recalled that CoralVue had picked up the distribution of it (I think another company or two are working on one as well), and that it was due to hit the market soon. http://www.coralvue.com/kh-guardian-pro I came across the video below on my FaceBook feed and it sparked my interest again. So since it looked like it was up for sale, I decided to check out the cost... $1,269.00!!! with $35 per 45 day reagent refills. Too rich for me at this juncture, but would be nice to have for sure. So what are your thoughts on this new, revolutionary piece of equipment, considered by many as the 'holy grail of reefkeeping'? .
