Well, unfortunatly for this 90g build discussions of moving and even a potential job change have come up.  I don't want to get too deep into this build and have to move two tanks.  I'm putting it on hold until I determine what direction my life is going to go.  :(

On the bright side for you guys, I will probably be selling the corals from the 55 that were going to go in the 90 at a good price. My 120 was going to be strictly SPS, but I just can't part with some of the LPS and will have to make room in the 120 for them.  Haven't decided what's going to be up for sale.  It'll just be whatever's left from the 55 breakdown that I don't want in the 120.

Sorry to hear that. At least you will be able to hold on to some of your favorite corals.

So, eventually when I re-start this build I'll probably go without the canopy because of the T5 fixture I have (6 bulb CurrentUSA).  I will either hang it above the tank or rest it on top with the legs.  Problem is I don't like the Oak trim around the top of the tank.  You guys have any good ideas on how to paint the trim black other than taping off and spraying with Krylon?

You can use rustoleom (sp?) paint and use a roller to paint it. Use a sponge type roller, and if it get on the glass, use a razor blade to scrap it off...

That's what I ended up using, but with a sponge brush.  I'm going to have to fine sand it and apply another coat using the sponge roller.  I don't like the way it turned out, but at least it's not oak anymore.  Thanks for the info.  Oh, and I picked up a second dosing pump for this tank yesterday from Shayne, so this build is going to be completed......eventually.

I appreciate your offer shayne, but I think if I did set this tank up it would be nothing but high end limited edition acros.  Not one zoanthid or LPS.  Not sure what frags you are offering, but I doubt you'd give these types of acros away.  I do still have the dosing pump I got from you that will be incorporated into it though! lol.  Thanks!

Oh, and I decided it's not going in the bedroom.  Don't want to hear dosing and ATO pumps going on and off all night. :D

Cool cool.  Yea, totally understand about the noises at night.  I have my 29 virtually silent, which is the only reason it was allowed into the bedroom.  :)

Don't have anything too fancy....just a green ORA bird nest, blue Oregon Tort and one Acro that looks kinda green with deep purple tips.  Not much on fancy names.

Stopped in aquahut on my way back from gonzales today.  I couldnt help myself and asked john to order me a 30 gallon tank to use as a sump for this build...i guess its officially back on.  Only thing is im in the middle of my 29g nem clown build for my office. Cant finish my 29g build till the office is finished, so i've got guite a few projects going and progress will be slow.

If you are going to put it in your bedroom, consider your lighting schedule. I had an aquarium years ago that started out in the bedroom before we moved it into the den due to the extreme brightness.

:yeahthat:

And noise, I don't know if I could handle even a "quite" reef tank in my bedroom.

It's definitely not going in the bedroom.  It'll be in the living room across from the 120.

It would be cool if i could put a few dwarf angels in there but i know its not good to have several of them in the same tank together.  I'll probably stick close to my original fish list....we'll see.

Will i meant to talk to you about bending some conduit to hang my fixture like yours.  Give me a hollar when you get some free time to discuss.

Will do, sounds like something we may need to have a few drinks to discuss though, it's a pretty intense subject.
